Porsche 911 Turbo S
Swirl marks removed rather than filled, then sealed under a ceramic coating so the corrected finish is what stays visible for years instead of months.
Anyone can call themselves a detailer. The word is not protected, and standards vary widely. Pro-Valets accreditation is different: it requires a proven track record, the right insurance and work inspected against a set standard. Across the South West, only two or three detailers hold it. We are one of them.
Harry and Chris have run the business since late 2014 from Yelberton Trading Estate in Paignton, with mobile cover across Torbay, Devon and the wider South West.
A Lamborghini Aventador SV and a 2009 Civic have both been detailed here. We cover everything from a Fiat to Ferrari, lorry to Lamborghini. The badge changes the quote, not the process — every owner gets the same honest assessment of their paint.
Or judge it on the work — recent cars and what their owners said.
Read the full story→New off the forecourt, five years into daily use, or already coated and due a wash that will not undo it — the honest answer is different in each case. Tell us which one you are and we will tell you what the car actually needs.
Wash marks and swirls machined out of the clear coat, not filled in and hidden by a glaze.
See this on real cars→Inspect, wash, correct, coat, check. Nothing is skipped to save time, and the car is photographed before and after so you can see what changed — the full process, stage by stage.
Before anything is cleaned, the paint is assessed under inspection lighting and depth readings are taken. Clear coat is finite — knowing how much there is to work with determines what can safely be corrected and what cannot. This is also where we tell you if a full correction is not worth the money.
A citrus pre-wash lifts organic matter, then snow foam loosens what is left before anything touches the paint. Wheels, arches and shuts are cleaned separately. Tar and iron removers dissolve bonded contamination, and a clay bar takes the surface back to smooth.
A test panel first, to find the least aggressive combination of pad and compound that will actually remove the defect. Then panel by panel: compounding to cut the damage out, refining to bring the gloss back. On a large vehicle in poor condition this stage alone can run to thirty or forty hours.
Panels are wiped down to strip polishing oils, so the coating bonds to bare paint rather than to residue that will wash away. Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light goes on first and holds for two years. EXO V4 can be layered over it, taking protection to five and adding the water behaviour that keeps the car clean between washes.
The car goes back under inspection lighting and is checked panel by panel against the readings taken on day one. Then we walk you through what was done, what the coating will and will not resist, and how to wash it without undoing the work.
Both left the unit corrected to the same standard. The badge on the bonnet changes the quote, not the process — the same inspection, the same test panel, the same refusal to coat over defects rather than remove them.
Swirl marks removed rather than filled, then sealed under a ceramic coating so the corrected finish is what stays visible for years instead of months.
Deep cleaned and protected without a single new mark in the paint, then waxed so the finish holds its depth rather than the dirt.
The finish the owner should have been handed on collection day, and a clean starting point for coating.
Protected with the satin texture intact and even across every panel.
Decontaminated and scratches machine polished out, without pretending the car had never been used.
The owner said the results spoke for themselves. Their words: “New or old they will make it look amazing.”
Correction and coating work is carried out at our unit on Yelberton Trading Estate in Paignton, where the lighting and the hours are ours to control — a multi-stage polish cannot be done properly on a driveway. Maintenance and deep cleans can come to you across Torbay and the wider South West.
Unit 1, 4 Higher Yalberton Road, Paignton, Devon, TQ4 7PD“Fantastic service from Platinum. I had a full deep clean inside and out, paint restoration, and ceramic coating. They always reply quickly and professionally, and even went the extra mile by booking me in last minute on a Saturday right before a car show. The car was ready within a few hours and looked unreal. Their knowledge is outstanding. Highly recommended and I'll definitely be back.Thank you.”
