That is the business's own description of its range, and it is the honest version of what walks through the door. A supercar in the morning, a family estate in the afternoon, a van on a fortnightly schedule. The quote changes. The process does not.
Harry and Chris have owned and run Platinum Detailing since late 2014, working from a unit on the Yelberton Trading Estate in Paignton and travelling to vehicles across the South West. Both have been professionally trained — which matters most at the point where a machine polisher meets clear coat that cannot be put back.
The work runs from fortnightly maintenance for cars that are already protected, through multi-stage paint correction and Gtechniq ceramic coating, for private and commercial clients alike. Some cars arrive the day they are delivered. Others arrive nine years in.
What keeps people coming back is not the finish on the day they collect the car — that part is expected. It is being told, more than once, that the paint does not need what they came in asking to buy. There is more money in agreeing with a customer. There is a longer business in not doing it.
Anyone can call themselves a detailer.

In that order, and the order is the whole point. Skip the first stage and the second one locks the damage in for five years.
Paint Correction
Swirl marks, holograms, dealership defects and years of accumulated wash damage. Paint is measured first, then machine polished panel by panel — up to 75% defect removal in a single stage, up to 100% with wet sanding and refinement.

Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light holds for two years. Layered with EXO V4 it reaches five. Applied only to paint that has been corrected first, because a coating preserves whatever sits beneath it.

A coated car still needs washing correctly, or the coating is worn away by the thing meant to be preserving it. Maintenance details run from 90 minutes upward, one-off or fortnightly, at the unit or at your address.

The unit is at Unit 1, 4 Higher Yalberton Road, Paignton, on the Yelberton Trading Estate. Correction and coating work is carried out there because a multi-stage polish needs controlled lighting and an uninterrupted day. Maintenance details and deep cleans can come to you.

You cannot correct paint in a car park.
Daylight flatters paint. It hides the holograms and the fine swirls that only show up under the right angle of light. That is the reason correction and coating work is booked into the unit rather than done on your drive — not preference, physics.
